Tokyo & Fukui Adventures Thus Far: Sarah

Summary

Update on Tokyo and Fukui from Sarah

Hello Digital Sojourn friends and followers! The last few days have been busy and exciting. Yesterday we travelled from Tokyo to Fukui! Only three hours by train was not bad for the distance covered!

While in Tokyo we visited the Sensō-ji temple and Kaminarimon gate which had plenty of really cool shops near by with souvenirs and great food.

Although less exciting to the beautiful attractions, the subway was also really cool to see because in comparison to the US it was stunningly clean,  quite, and seemingly safe!

Today was our first full day in Fukui! Some of us visited the Yokokan Garden. Yokokan was a second home to the ruling family of the Fukui Feudal Clan, the Matsudairas. We got a chance to go into the house itself which is on a pond.

Tomorrow will be a big work day for us in Fukui! I will be taking footage of the plantscape at Daihonzan Eiheiji and at Hakusan Shrine. I will also be capturing videos of Scott using the Tabibito app, which should show a good demo of their work!
